Clean Lines
This site was a large 1000m2 allotment. It had BushFire Overlay and a Covenant to adhere to. The clients also wanted to allow for a future pool and storage shed. They really liked the large open living and the flat roof look. And had plenty of Pinterest images to show their style. The site also had a steep slope to the front so we had to be mindful of the garage entry and footpath transition so that the car would not bottom out when entering. As it was a large building the clients also wanted to be energy conscious and we added solar panels and hydronic underfloor heating.
We partnered with the client who also offered their own building industry expertise to deliver a light filled, detailed residence. This design welcomed blackbutt lining with a hidden garage door and a picture window to the master for the street appeal. Rendered Hebel wall panels and featured timber cladding to the neck of the building, enhanced the shape overall. Finished with heated polished concrete floors throughout, the home also featured extensive windows, high ceilings and a seamless connection to the outside floating canopy, leading directly to the pool and outdoor area.
